Central Oregon, Deschutes County ADU Rules Amendment

Note from ADU builder, Austin Willis: Here is a link to Deschutes County’s latest update on progress toward allowing ADU’s on rural properties. The biggest thing I see (that I was earlier unaware of) is that property owners will be allowed in to build an ADU in the “multi-use agricultural zone” (MUA). I knew ADUs would be allowed in the rural residential zone, but this is new and exciting information to me. and to any property owner who wants an ADU in the MUA zone. You can find more info about rural accessory dwelling units (ADUs) on the Deschutes County website here: ADU on MUA property – Great News!
